An official appeal to the posting “It turns out that it is necessary to issue Uzcard and Visa cards in order to receive a money transfer sent from abroad” on the Kurkma Telegram channel.

In the 1st quarter of 2020, JSCB Hamkorbank renegotiated an agreement with the Zolotaya Korona international money transfer system, as a result of which the bank's offices stopped issuing funds sent through the Zolotaya Korona system in cash (on this fact, a corresponding message was posted on bank website: hamkorbank.uz/physical/money-transfer/). But, in order to create additional convenience for customers during the pandemic, the possibility of crediting funds to a plastic card using the bank's mobile application was introduced. In addition, withdrawing cash from a Visa card from Hamkorbank at the bank's cash desks is absolutely free.

In the process of providing services, the bank does not force its customers to use other services and will not pursue such goals in the future. In none of the regions where the offices operate, Hamkorbank has the status of "Monopoly", in each of the regions there are offices of at least 3-4 other banks. For this reason, the consumer has the right and opportunity to freely choose a bank.

The administrator of the channel "Kurkma", having not fully studied the situation, called the bank "Monopolist" and called on his subscribers to accuse the bank of "bribery". We assess this fact as an attempt to damage the image and reputation of the bank in the banking system of the republic, in front of customers and international partners.

It should be noted that in part 2 of Article 139 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “Slander in printed or otherwise reproduced form, including posted in the media, telecommunications networks or the worldwide information network Internet, is punishable by a fine of two hundred to four hundred basic calculated values ​​or compulsory public works from three hundred to three hundred and sixty hours or correctional labor from two to three years or restriction of liberty up to one year.
