On January 8 this year, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a conference in the format of a round table on the topic "Transformation of the banking sector", in which representatives of the JSCB "Hamkorbank" took part.

During the conference, there was a discussion about changes in banking legislation, decisions taken by the government to modernize the country's banking sector and digital transformation of banks.

In turn, Alisher Ergashev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Hamkorbank, emphasized that Hamkorbank pays special attention to the bank's remote services and soon plans to completely update the mobile application for individuals and the Internet banking system for legal entities, which will provide a wider range of services.

The subject of transformation also affected mini-banks, which usually do not provide a full range of services. In 2020, Hamkorbank plans to transform mini-banks into banking service centers, which will provide services for both the population and business entities.

In general, the event to discuss the "Transformation of the Banking Sector" and the exchange of experience with colleagues should serve as a new impetus for digitalization, an increase in remote services and the rapid further transformation of the banking sector in Uzbekistan.

Media representatives and bloggers were also invited to the event, who, in turn, had the opportunity to directly ask questions from bank representatives and received comprehensive answers.
