Nuralieva Nilufarkhon Bohodirovna — from education to entrepreneurship: Andijan success story

Nuralieva Nilufarkhon Bohodirovna is a successful businesswoman and leader who started her career in the education sector and currently heads the English Life private school and 8 English language training centers in Andijan. Her scientific and pedagogical experience and determination in business have made her an effective initiator aimed at improving the quality and opportunities of educational services in the region. Nowadays, learning a foreign language is of great importance. This entrepreneur has been working with the bank for more than 10 years. At the beginning of the business, we started our business by renting 4 rooms, and with the support and trust of Hamkorbank JSCB, we have reached the current level, she says during the interview.

Business owner Nuraliyeva Nilufar, after graduating from the Andijan Institute of Foreign Languages, started working at an educational center in Andijan, and later had the idea to establish her own educational center. With the financial support of her parents, she began her activities by renting a building and initially registered the educational institution on 08.01.2015. Initially, in 2015, she began her activities by renting 4 rooms on the first floor of a 3-story building. Then, due to the increase in the number of students, in 2016, she expanded her activities by renting 2-3-4 floors of a 4-story building. Over the years, thanks to the quality of education she has provided to her students and the achievements they have achieved, Nilufarkhon Bohodirovna has created her own brand and opened another additional educational center in 2019. Through tireless research and hard work, the entrepreneur currently has 8 training centers and attracts more than 5,000 students. The training centers provide local youth and adults with high-quality language courses, exam preparation, communication practices, and special programs for professional areas. In addition, in 2022, he purchased a new building and established a private school there, which currently has more than 350 students. In 2024, the client will also open his own school in the Khojaabad district of Andijan region, together with a partner (Samo brand).

In fact, Nuraliyeva Nilufarkhon Bohodirovna, starting her teaching career from the secondary education sector, combined the practical experience gained in teaching and educating the school-age generation with management and organizational skills. She sought to make the learning process of students more effective by combining pedagogical principles with business management. She conducted constant research in order to further develop her business.

The prestigious private school “English Life” and training centers in Andijan The private school “English Life”, founded under the leadership of Nilufarkhan, is aimed at in-depth teaching of the English language, the introduction of modern teaching methods and the continuous improvement of the educational environment. During the pandemic, the entrepreneur took up another activity. In a short time, she organized a somsakhona business and launched the sale of ready-made and semi-finished samsa dough. Currently, these eateries serve customers on the 1st floor of the “English Life” educational center, in front of the “Andijanim” shopping center and “Tibbiyot diagnostics” buildings. Our client, who aims to justify the trust expressed by parents, students and teaching staff and to develop further in the future and open and develop high-quality and prestigious secondary and higher education institutions throughout the Republic, plans to strive for even greater goals with the bank in the future.

Our next hero is Nazirova Mohidil Alixoʻjayevna from Kokand, who started as a pharmacist and today has formed a whole family business network. Our client, who has been a partner of our bank for many years, has achieved success in business and is expanding its activities in new directions, taking advantage of the bank's credit products. It is worth noting that the achievements of Nazirova Mohidil Alixoʻjayevna are not only inspiring, but also a clear demonstration of how joint efforts can lead to significant results.

“It was not easy to start a business”

“In our family, there were many questions and hesitations at the beginning, but my mother motivated us and encouraged us to start, - says Nazirova Mohidil Alixoʻjayevna with a smile. - My father, an engineer by profession, and my mother, a seamstress, founded the “EURO PRINT KOKAND” enterprise 20 years ago, which produces boxes of various sizes for packaging dried fruits. At that time, this work required great courage. But time has shown that the right decision was made.” Nazirova Mohidil Alixoʻjayevna says that the children in the family also continued the path started by their parents:

• 15 years ago, the “EURO MED DIAGNOSTIC” diagnostic center was opened based on the pharmaceutical specialty, and now, under the leadership of mother, the center provides quality services to many of our compatriots;
• 6 years ago, “ASMALD HOTEL” began operating in Kokand, and today it has become the number one prominent hotel in this city;
• Recently, an initiative to open another hotel in Tashkent is being put forward;

“Of course, none of these projects was easy. But with the help of a loan from Hamkorbank, we were able to realize our dreams. In 2005, we started working with only 3 employees, and today our activities provide jobs for more than 350 people,” adds Nazirova Mohidil Alixoʻjayevna. From production to tourism and agriculture.

Financial Literacy and the Art of Selling Recently, the Department of Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance of Hamkorbank JSCB and the Department of Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) organized another seminar at the Mehmon Saroy Grand Hotel in Fergana. This event, held within the framework of the “Women in Business” program aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs in Central Asia, was dedicated to the topic “Financial Literacy and the Art of Selling”. The seminar was attended by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the German consulting company Sparkassenstiftung for international cooperation, the consulting company IPC - Internationale Project Consult GmbH, the Hamkorbank JSCB team, and active female entrepreneurs. The speakers discussed the relationship between the bank and its clients, cooperation opportunities, and the importance of banking services for women entrepreneurs. The presentation of the “Islamic Leasing” program also became an important part of the event. At the end of the seminar, participants asked experts questions of interest and gained practical and useful knowledge. At the end of the event, all participants were awarded special certificates by Hamkorbank JSCB.

On July 8, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Tashkent Conference Hall in Tashkent, a roundtable discussion on “Women’s Role in the Transition to Green Finance” was organized by EBRD and GEFF Green Finance specialists. Avazbek Fazliev, Head of ESG Department from Hamkorbank JSCB, Khurshida Khudoyarova, Category 1 Specialist (on Gender Issues), and Viktoriya Chagay, a representative of the family enterprise “Chagay plus” LLC, a client of Yakkasaroy UBHO, were invited to this event.

The event was opened by the Director of the EBRD Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Andy Aranita, with an introductory speech. The meeting mainly shared the results of the gender baseline assessment conducted by GEFF in banks over a period of 3 months. At the same time, a roundtable discussion was held on the conditions, benefits and obstacles created for female entrepreneurs with the participation of Liberal Democratic Party MP Dilorom Fayzieva, Head of ESG Department of Hamkorbank JSCB Avazbek Fazliev, Head of Sustainable Development Department of Ipoteka JSCB Bakhtiyor Abdusalomov, Deputy Chairman of the Tadbirkor Ayol Association Nigora Kamaliddinovna Yakubova, representative of the Chagay plus LLC family enterprise Victoria Chagay, and representative of the Association of Banks of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tohir Babamurodov. This roundtable discussion discussed issues such as gender equality, climate change and the use of green finance, in particular:

- Gender inequalities and problems faced by women entrepreneurs;

- What is the gender-differentiated impact of climate change;

- Why and how banks can eliminate these inequalities in their work.

Understanding gender issues is an urgent task today. The reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan include ensuring gender equality, one of the main values for socio-economic and democratic development. Scientific analysis of gender aspects in Islamic teachings is becoming a social necessity to increase religious literacy. Realizing the importance of these issues, Hamkorbank JSCB integrates relevant social topics into its corporate education programs.

The next regular Saturday economic training aimed at improving the skills of employees was dedicated to the concept of gender in Islam at the initiative of the ESG department of Hamkorbank JSCB. Such initiatives reflect the bank's desire for the comprehensive development of its employees.

Yusupova Nigora Jaloliddin qizi, head of the Department of Social Sciences and Law of the International Academy of Islamic Studies of Uzbekistan, was invited to conduct a master class on spiritual education. The event was organized with the support of the Uzbek Central Bank.

In her presentation, D.N. Yusupova revealed the importance and relevance of the concept of gender. She defined gender from a religious and secular perspective, supporting her thesis with verses from the Quran, hadiths and relevant legal norms. The workshop allowed bank employees to have a comprehensive understanding of the essence of gender and analyze it from economic, social, spiritual, legal and religious perspectives. The workshop was full of interesting and insightful questions.

In conclusion, D.N. Yusupova expressed her gratitude to the bank management for the invitation and expressed her readiness to continue cooperation in the future.

On June 1st, International Children’s Day, Hamkorbank JSC, in cooperation with its regional offices, initiated festive events for the residents of several “Muruvvat” orphanages across various regions of Uzbekistan.

It is worth noting that the aim of this charitable event was to bring a little light into the lives of children with disabilities and those in need of social support, sharing joy and warmth in their hearts. The event featured engaging stage performances and a puppet theater, along with the distribution of commemorative gifts.

Particular activity was shown by the bank’s regional offices: Kurgantepa UBSO, Kashkadarya RBSO, Tashkent RBSO, Fergana RBSO, Bukhara RBSO, Termez RBSO, and Aviasozlik UBSO.

Importantly, the children were not only captivated by the theatrical shows but also deeply pleased by the commemorative gifts and heartfelt human attention. This was not just a celebration — it was a symbol of kindness, humanity, and social care. Truly, sharing joy is the highest happiness!

On April 18th of this year, a significant training event, organized by "Hamkorbank" ATB and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to support women entrepreneurs operating in Central Asia, took place in Tashkent. This prestigious event, held within the framework of the "Woman in business" project and the EBRD's GEFF "Green finance" initiative, aimed to further expand the opportunities for women in the business sector.

The seminar was attended by internationally recognized EBRD experts, representatives from reputable consulting companies such as the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation and IPC - Internationale Projekt Consult GmbH, as well as the qualified team of "Hamkorbank" ATB and, most importantly, proactive and successful women entrepreneurs.

The solemn opening ceremony of the event was conducted by Ms. Natalya Yuryevna Kuzmina, Deputy Director for Development of the Micro, Small and Medium Business Department of "Hamkorbank" ATB, who welcomed the attendees with her sincere opening remarks. In her speech, she specifically emphasized the bank's efforts to support women entrepreneurs. Additionally, the Deputy Chairperson of the "Tadbirkor ayol" ("Business Woman") Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the esteemed Nigora Rakhon Kamaldinovna Yakubova, provided detailed information on the high attention paid to the development of women's entrepreneurship in the country and the wide opportunities being created.

Ms. Nazira Dadakhonova, a leading analyst of the EBRD Business Advisory Programme in Uzbekistan, deeply recognizing the importance of such events for women, expressed her gratitude to "Hamkorbank" ATB and closely introduced the participants to the activities of the EBRD Business Advisory Programme.

During the seminar, Ms. Dono Abdurazzakova, a knowledgeable EBRD consultant on the GEFF "Green finance" direction, provided comprehensive information on the content, advantages of the "Green finance" program, and the important role of women entrepreneurs within it. Furthermore, the experienced Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Hamkorbank" ATB for Cooperation and Ecosystem Implementation, Mr. Azat Rustemovich Galeev, presented very interesting and practically significant information on the topic of "Internet Acquiring for Online Sales," which is an integral part of modern business.

Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to receive detailed answers to all their questions of interest from qualified experts. The final part of the seminar was held in a lively atmosphere. All guests were solemnly presented with memorable gifts and participation certificates as a token of appreciation for their active involvement. This training served as a solid foundation for women entrepreneurs to gain new knowledge, exchange experiences, and achieve future successes.

The second part of the seminar was even more informative and rich in interesting details. Bakhtiyor Isakhodzhiev, a qualified specialist from the Islamic Banking Products Sales Group of "Hamkorbank" ATB, provided participants with detailed information about one of the modern financial solutions - the advantages and application procedures of "Islamic Leasing".

Following this, the event continued with a master class on "Digital Marketing and Online Sales" featuring an experienced trainer, Ra'no Sidikova, invited on the recommendation of the EBRD. The trainer shared valuable knowledge and skills on the effective use of modern digital tools, innovative methods for increasing sales on online platforms, and successful marketing strategies.

Another important part of the seminar was the presentation by Stanislav Brazinsky, a foreign specialist from the Sales Department of "Hamkorbank" ATB, on the topic "The Main Stages of the Sales Funnel". He explained each stage of the sales process with specific examples and provided practical recommendations for developing successful sales strategies.

"Hamkorbank," as part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, organized a charity event at a social support center in Andijan. Bank employees provided elderly residents of a nursing home with essential daily necessities.

This action was carried out at the initiative of the Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance Coordination Department, which is responsible for planning and implementing "Hamkorbank's" social projects.

In today's world, striving to align with best global practices and international standards, "Hamkorbank" ATB is actively implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles and sustainable development. The bank also places a strong emphasis on reducing gender, economic, and social inequality within society.

On March 12-13, 2025, "Hamkorbank" ATB, in collaboration with EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) experts from the GEFF (Green Economy Financing Facility) program, organized a roundtable at the "Hamkorbank" ATB head office. The purpose of the event was to familiarize the bank's business clients with "Green Finance" credit products and to exchange opinions.

Participants were divided into 3 focus groups. EBRD GEFF experts Donokhon Abdurazzaqova and Kholiyor Ziyakulov analyzed the clients' level of knowledge about "Green Finance" credit products by asking relevant questions. They also provided valuable information on environmental challenges and solutions, as well as energy-saving technologies and their applications.

"Hamkorbank" ATB specialists addressed the clients' questions. Entrepreneurs showed particular interest in the "Islamic Leasing" product. To provide detailed explanations, Abdulaziz Jalilov, Chief Specialist of the "Islamic Banking Product Sales Group," was invited.

Clients highly appreciated the opportunity to receive detailed information on "Green Finance." At the end of the event, EBRD GEFF representatives presented participants with Ramadan gifts.

On March 14, the roundtable continued in Tashkent. Two focus groups were formed with the participation of capital city clients. EBRD experts from the "Women in Business" program discussed opportunities for women entrepreneurs to develop their businesses.

In fact, man is created strong, quick-witted, gifted and dexterous. But what if a person needs help because of various trials and blows of fate? While patients need the support of others both mentally and physically, the sane people around them should always be ready and needed. Because it is your and our human duty. We have an expression in our people: "A person appreciates a person." A person - no matter what condition he is in, attention is important to him.

Within the framework of the tasks of the work plan of the Department for the coordination of environmental, social and corporate governance issues of JSCB Hamkorbank, in order to increase the social activity of the bank, we established communication with all boarding schools for children with disabilities "Muruvvat" located on the territory of our republic, we established the implementation of such noble work as regular visits to them, studying their needs and ensuring them at the highest possible level..

In particular, in the Ferghana boarding house for children with disabilities "Muruvvat" of the Ferghana Regional Department of the Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, located in the Ferghana region, children were examined, necessary stationery and hygiene products were distributed to them.
At the next stage, in order to entertain children brought up in 7 Muruvvat boarding schools for children with disabilities, it is planned to organize cultural events for them on the eve of June 1 - International Children's Day. Within the framework of the event, responsible employees from the Tashkent, Karshi, Bukhara, Ferghana and Termez NBHO, as well as the department of UBHO and ESG of aircraft construction were identified in the boarding house for children with disabilities "Muruvvat" located in the respective regions, various games and theatrical scenes with the participation of fairy-tale characters were organized with the involvement of the puppet theater team. During the event, the children, delighted with the fairy-tale characters, gladly took to the stage, danced with them and received gifts.

One of the many goals set by our bank for implementation in the near future is the implementation of social projects that enhance the positive image of the Bank in the eyes of the public and mutually interested parties, attract new customers and strengthen the trust and goodwill of existing customers. To this end, the ESG department has established regular organization of donor actions with the participation of Bank employees, established cooperation with the Andijan Regional Blood Transfusion Center in order to promote and organize the participation of Bank employees in donor actions.

At the initial stage, with the involvement of specialists from the Andijan Regional Blood Transfusion Center, a training seminar on "Feel proud as a donor" was organized for all employees of the Bank's system via videoconference, where extensive explanations were given about the requirements for donation, its benefits and benefits. 192 employees of the Head Office of the Bank and 1,286 employees of the branches of the Bank took part in the training seminar. At the next stage, a blood collection event (donor) was organized Blood was received from the employees of the Head Bank with the involvement of doctors of the blood transfusion center, a total of 53 employees received blood.
At the next stage, blood collection (donation) events were organized from employees in the Shakhrikhan, Asakinsky, Khojaabad, Jalakuduk, Kurgantepe and Nodirabegim Offices of Banking Services in the Andijan region.
According to the results of the event, 45.45 liters of blood were taken from 53 employees of the Head Bank and 49 employees of the OBU located in the Andijan region, 202 blood components were made from them and transferred to medical institutions as assistance to patients in need of blood.
Considering that the person who donated should fully recover within a certain period of time (on average 6 months), the next donation campaign was organized on June 11, 2024 from 09:00 to 16:00 with the participation of employees of the Head Bank and the Andijan ROBU. As a result of the event, 23.97 liters of donated blood were selected from 51 employees who were worthy of becoming donors, 102 blood components were made from them and transferred to medical institutions as assistance to patients in need of blood.
It should be noted that, being a donor, an employee can benefit his health, save human life, and if necessary, blood transfusion to family members of the donor has benefits for receiving blood out of turn. To date, among our employees who participated in this charity work, there are cases when they or their family members have a need for blood components, and they enjoy benefits such as receiving blood components out of turn and without donating blood.
